Media Information
Official Team Headquarters: SMU will be headquartered at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. FAU will be headquartered at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place. Atlantic High School will serve as the practice site for SMU and Tom Oxley Athletic Center & William T. Dwyer High School will serve as the practice sites for FAU.
Official Media Hotel: The Wyndham Boca Raton Hotel (1950 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431) will serve as the official media hotel for the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl. Media reservations include in-room internet and access to the onsite media work room.
Media Credential Distribution: All credentials may be picked up at the Wyndham Boca Raton Hotel (Room: Palm Suite West) and FAU Stadium. NO MEDIA CREDENTIALS WILL BE MAILED. Hours of operation are:

Team Practices:
Team practices are not open to the public.
There will be a required fifteen (15) minute period open for Media. The fifteen (15) minute period will begin at the end of pre-practice stretching and warm up drills. Coaches and select student-athletes should be available for questions after practice. Media will not be allowed at either team’s final in-stadium walk through. Media will be sent an advisory with practice times when all practice times are announced.
Media Policies
Press Box
Entrance into the FAU Stadium press box is by credential only for the news media and press box staff.
The press box will be open to the media two hours before kickoff. A pre-game meal will be served only to accredited media approximately 90 minutes prior to kick-off.
Workspace in the FAU Stadium press box will be assigned with the following priority:
National press, newspaper sports reporters/writers from the immediate locale of the event and sports reporters from the immediate locale of the competing teams.
Radio station/network personnel doing play-by-play (broadcast booth space will be assigned.)
Non play-by-play reporters.
Student newspapers and radio stations.
NOTE: Cheering in the press box will not be tolerated. Unprofessional behavior will result in the confiscation of working press credentials. No minors will be allowed in the press box.
Photographers/Video:
Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl photo credentials must be visible at all times. Bowl organizers will adhere to the NCAA’s sideline control policy, which states that:
Sideline photographers are restricted outside the 25-yard lines in the areas designated and are reminded to stay behind the dotted restraining line around the field. No media personnel, including journalists, radio and television personnel or their equipment, shall be in the team area or coaching box.
Game Day Internet: For wireless internet you MUST have a cell phone that is able to receive texts in order to log on to the wireless network at FAU Stadium. Instructions on how to access wifi will be provided.
Live Telecasts: On game day, non-originating telecasters may originate live programming from the field until approximately 45 minutes before kickoff. After ESPN has concluded its live coverage from the site, live programming may resume. Television stations or networks may use up to three minutes of footage for television news highlights purposes during the 72 hours after the game. All footage must contain the ESPN logo throughout and must be accompanied by the graphic “Courtesy of ESPN.”

About the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl: 2019 Game Moves to New Day, Time and Network
After spending five years on the Tuesday evening before Christmas and being aired on ESPN, the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl will kick off in the Florida sunshine on Saturday afternoon, December 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET at FAU Stadium and will broadcast nationally on ABC as well as on ESPN Radio and locally on ESPN 106.3 FM. The bowl game has conference tie-ins with teams from Conference USA, the American Athletic Conference and the Mid-American Athletic Conference.
As one of 41 postseason college bowl games in the country and one of 15 owned and operated by ESPN Events (a division of ESPN) the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl is the only one hosted in Palm Beach County. As a celebrated annual holiday tradition in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County that lives up to its other name, ‘Boca’s Biggest Annual Outdoor Party’, the event features all the pomp and circumstance of traditional bowl events. It is a high-energy, entertaining experience for both college football fans and non-fans alike and allows the national spotlight to shine on Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. Bowl week activities will begin on Tuesday, December 17 with the arrival of the participating teams; days, times and sites for the team welcome parties, beach parties, luncheon, pep rallies and other bowl week activities will be released at a later date.
