Boca Raton, Fla. (December 2, 2014) – For the inaugural Boca Raton Bowl, Oxbridge Academy will serve as the official practice site for the team representing the Mid-American Conference while Saint Andrew’s School will serve as the official practice site for the team representing Conference USA.

“We are pleased to have Oxbridge Academy and Saint Andrew’s School on board to host our participating teams’ practices,” said Boca Raton Bowl Executive Director Doug Mosley. “These two fine schools’ available facilities are among the finest in Palm Beach County and will ideally meet the needs of our teams during their stays here.”

The Mid-American Conference team practicing at Oxbridge Academy will be utilizing the school’s 1,500 seat stadium whose field is covered in the same synthetic turf used in the Buffalo Bills’ Ralph Wilson Stadium. The team will also have access to Oxbridge Academy’s newly constructed state-of-the-art weight room, locker rooms, and sport medicine facility, as well as the practice fields and outdoor swimming pool.

“We are extremely excited to be a part of the Boca Raton Bowl experience and to do our part for the Palm Beach County community,” said Oxbridge Academy Director of Athletics Craig Sponsky. “Oxbridge Academy is pleased to partner with the Boca Raton Bowl in bringing a Mid-American Conference football team to Palm Beach County in December.”

Oxbridge Academy is a secondary, co-educational school with a 54-acre campus in West Palm Beach. The school was founded in 2011 and seeks to provide challenging and dynamic education in the classroom, laboratory, art studio, and athletic fields that produces leaders through integration of meaningful student research, collaboration, creativity and life-changing service learning.

The Conference USA team practicing at Saint Andrew’s School will have access to both Don Jones Memorial Field, home of the school’s championship football, lacrosse and soccer teams, in addition to the Malnik Family Athletic Center which houses two full-court gymnasiums, fitness center, sports medicine clinic and more.

“Saint Andrew’s School is thrilled to be associated as a practice site for the Boca Raton Bowl,” said Saint Andrew’s School Director of Marketing and Communications Carlos Barroso. “We are excited to host the Conference USA team on December 20 and 21 on Don Jones Memorial Field. Saint Andrew’s wants to be among the first to congratulate Boca Raton Bowl, Florida Atlantic University, and all associated partners for hosting what is sure to be a great college bowl game come December 23.”

As a day and boarding school in the Episcopal tradition serving children age Pre-K through 12th grade, Saint Andrew’s serves 1,275 students from 27 countries and several states. The school’s athletic program fields 64 teams spread over 17 different sports between its Upper School and Middle School.

Both teams that receive bids to the Boca Raton Bowl will practice at their respective locations twice, Dec. 20-21.  All bowl week activities, including practice, will be open to the media.
