BOCA RATON BOWL ANNOUNCES DATE CHANGE 2024 BOCA RATON BOWL TO BE PLAYED DECEMBER 18

The date for the 2024 Boca Raton Bowl has been changed and now will be played on Wednesday, December 18. The 5:30 p.m. kickoff time will remain the same as well as being aired on ESPN.
“The available dates and times for pre-Christmas bowl games was already very tight due to how the calendar played out, plus adding the College Football Playoff first-round games to the mix made it even tighter,” said Doug Mosley, executive director of the Boca Raton Bowl.
The move places the Boca Raton Bowl as the leadoff game of an Eastern Time Zone/Pacific Time Zone bowl doubleheader with the LA Bowl to follow at 9 p.m. ET.
There was also another benefit from the move.
“Our teams typically arrive four days prior to the bowl game, meaning with an original game date of December 17 they would be flying in on Friday the 13th,” Mosley said. “I’m relieved we won’t be tempting fate with that!”
The Boca Raton Bowl will be played at FAU Stadium on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Last year’s game saw USF, playing in its first bowl game since the 2018 Gasparilla Bowl, defeat Syracuse University, 45-0.
