Finalist Night Will Kick Off the Boca Chamber’s Festival Days on August 1

BOCA RATON, Fla. (June 19, 2018) – It’s that time of year again when Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl organizers kick-off the quest to find the top talent to perform the National Anthem at the 2018 bowl game, on Tuesday, December 18 at FAU Stadium. This year’s finalist night, the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl Idol Presented by Marshall Socarras Grant, will take place at The Addison on August 1 as the official kick-off event for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Festival Days, as announced by executive director Doug Mosley.

Along with community partners Roger Dean Stadium and the Spirit of Giving, vocalists and instrumentalists, amateurs and professionals, individuals and groups from teens through seniors are encouraged to upload their “Boca Bowl Idol” audition demo submissions on the bowl game’s official website, www.CheribundiBocaRatonBowl.com.

“Last year’s inaugural Bowl Idol competition was a resounding success as a ‘fan-tastic’ way to invite and encourage community participation in countdown to our bowl game,” shared Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl Executive Director Doug Mosley.  “We look forward to expanding the wide range of entries and increasing public voting excitement so we can ‘cheer on’ and share our area’s home-grown talent and their interesting personal stories with bowl fans.”

Entering Is Easy As An Online Click
Those who are interested in sharing their talent (vocal or instrumental) must upload an audition demo video between Friday, June 1 and Thursday, June 28, as well as complete the official online entry form and provide a hi-res color headshot. On Friday, July 6, selected entries will be featured on the Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl website for public voting. The “Bowl Idol poll” will close on Sunday, July 15, at 11:59 p.m.
