Media Credential Application Now Open

BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 02, 2019) – The online application for media credentials for the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl to be played on Saturday, December 21, is now open. Accredited media can access the credential application by visiting https://www.cheribundibocaratonbowl.com/credentials/ and following the link to the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl credential page.

Accredited media should only complete the online credential application at this time if they will cover the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl regardless of the participating teams. Accredited media that will be covering the game only if the team they cover is playing should wait until the teams are announced on Sunday, December 8. The deadline for applications for all media outlets is Friday, December 13.

Sports editors/directors and/or photography editors need only complete ONE APPLICATION PER MEDIA AGENCY. They can request working media credentials for all members of their agency in a single application. When submitting the application, the sports editor/director and/or photography editor should list him/herself as the “contact” and register media members assigned to cover the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl as “attendees.” If requiring credentials for him/herself, the “contact” will need to be added as an attendee as well. Sports editors/directors and/or photo editors will also need to register the organization’s name, type and contact information.

From the online registration portal, media can also make hotel reservations at the Wyndham Hotel Boca Raton, the official media hotel of the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl. The special discounted rate of $189 (Suite) or $159 (Pool View) per night per room is good between Tuesday, December 17 and Monday, December 23. The reservation includes in-room internet and access to the onsite media work room.

About the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl2019 Game Moves to New Day, Time and Network

After spending five years on the Tuesday evening before Christmas and being aired on ESPN, the 2019 Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl will kick off in the Florida sunshine on Saturday afternoon, December 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET at FAU Stadium and will broadcast nationally on ABC as well as on ESPN Radio and locally on ESPN 106.3 FM. The bowl game has conference tie-ins with teams from Conference USA, the American Athletic Conference and the Mid-American Athletic Conference.

As one of 41 postseason college bowl games in the country and one of 15 owned and operated by ESPN Events (a division of ESPN) the Cheribundi Boca Raton Bowl is the only one hosted in Palm Beach County. As a celebrated annual holiday tradition in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County that lives up to its other name, ‘Boca’s Biggest Annual Outdoor Party’, the event features all the pomp and circumstance of traditional bowl events. It is a high-energy, entertaining experience for both college football fans and non-fans alike and allows the national spotlight to shine on Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. Bowl week activities will begin on Tuesday, December 17 with the arrival of the participating teams; days, times and sites for the team welcome parties, beach parties, luncheon, pep rallies and other bowl week activities will be released at a later date.
