To get “in the battle” to “get on the field” as the ultimate “star-spangled” Boca Raton Bowl Idol, area vocalists and instrumentalists, amateurs and professionals, individuals and groups from teens through seniors are encouraged to upload their Boca Bowl Idol audition demo submissions beginning Friday, June 1 to www.CheribundiBocaRatonBowl.com.
“Last year’s inaugural Bowl Idol competition was a resounding success as a ‘fan-tastic’ way to invite and encourage community participation in countdown to our bowl game,” shared Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl Executive Director Doug Mosley. “We look forward to expanding the wide range of entries and increasing public voting excitement so we can ‘cheer on’ and share our area’s home-grown talent and their interesting personal stories with bowl fans.”
What’s in it for the winner?
Along with performing the National Anthem for bowl fans during opening ceremonies at FAU Stadium prior to the game being televised nationally, the Boca Raton Bowl Idol will receive 10 game tickets for family and friends that will include sideline access during the performance.
